A Summer Family Session at River Center in Fresno, CA

Some locations are beautiful in every season, and the River Center in Fresno, California is definitely one of them. On August 29, 2026, I met up with Destiny, Brandon, and their sweet baby Mateo for a relaxed family photography session surrounded by greenery.

Even though it was the middle of summer, the River Center was **so green**. Between the trees, grassy areas, and natural surroundings, it gave us a beautiful backdrop that felt much more like spring than late August in the Central Valley.

This session was all about capturing this stage of life with Mateo — the little moments, the cuddles, the smiles, and the in-between interactions that make family photos feel personal.

I always want family sessions to feel natural rather than overly posed. Instead of spending the entire session telling everyone exactly where to stand, I use gentle posing and prompts to create genuine interactions while still making sure we get those classic family portraits.
