San Diego Engagement Session | Catherine & Her Fiancé at Coronado Beach + Hotel Del Coronado
On November 22nd, I met up with Catherine in San Diego, California for the most stunning engagement session along Coronado Beach and the iconic Hotel del Coronado. Catherine actually flew all the way from Georgia to take these photos, and her now-fiancé is in the military — so celebrating their engagement in beautiful San Diego couldn’t have been more fitting.
From the moment we started shooting, the whole session had this dreamy, whimsical, and editorial feel. Coronado Beach gave us wide sandy coastlines, glowing light, and soft ocean breezes, while Hotel del Coronado added that timeless, classy California charm that matched their style perfectly. Together, these locations created the ideal mix of romantic and elevated.
Catherine and her fiancé were effortless in front of the camera — playful, elegant, and completely present with each other. Every movement felt natural and every moment captured the connection between them. The combination of their style, the soft coastal lighting, and the gorgeous architecture of the Del made the entire session feel straight out of a magazine.
This engagement session truly embodied who they are as a couple: classy, genuine, and deeply connected. Shooting in San Diego — especially at Coronado Beach and the Hotel del Coronado — will always be one of my favorite experiences, and this session is one I will never forget.
